Hey all,

Noticed that Continental has upgraded the morning Buffalo flight from an ERJ to a 737-500 on 5/26 and to a 737-800 through now. Is the market there for such a huge capacity increase, or did they just need a place to stick an -800? Since CO has been sending the -800s on more and more trans-con and longer distance flights, I was surprised to see this equipment on this route!

Either way, good for BUF!

I wonder how much cross border traffic coming into BUF for that morning flight to NYC and connecting around the US. I also wonder if they are picking up any traffic from Canada to go down to connect in Newark for Europe.

Can I have a mojito on this flight?

The morning flight from EWR-BUF has always been a mainline aircraft, whether it's a 737-700 or 737-800. In the 25 years CO has been flying EWR-BUF I can't remember a period of time when they did not fly a mainline aircraft between EWR and BUF, I flew CO EWR-BUF in '91 on a 737-100, and BUF-EWR on US Air DC-9.

Really?? Thats so weird! I fly EWR-BUF a few times a year for the past few years and have never seen an option for a flight on anything but an ERJ. Maybe I just pick the wrong days...

The traffic out of BUF has a LOT of Canadians in it. Especially to major centers like NYC, ORD, etc. I used to fly from BUF to SFO rather than YYZ to SFO due to it being a good deal cheaper (both fares and taxes).

I don't care what you think of my opinion. It's my opinion, so have a nice day :)

I flew the morning EWR-BUF on a 737-700 in April of 2006 and it was completely full with what appeared to be high-yield business travelers.
