Does anyone know who the Lakers use to charter their flights? I thought it was Champion Air, which ceased operations, but I could find nothing on flightaware.com.

Thanks.

Champion Air ceased all operations on May 31st, 2008.

All I know is that they will be using NWA flights next year instead.

The NBA always contracts charter flights for the final game outside of the normal charter program they use the remainder of the year, hence how the Champion Air program terminated 5/31.

I'm not 100% certain however heard CO will be providing a plane for the finals, however not sure if its for the Laker, Celtics or both.

I should be able to find out today.

I know the Celtics uses a Swift Air 737-400 for their travels. I just wanted to know what the Lakers are using. PResumably, they came into town last night.

Boston Globe said yesterday that they were due to come in today since the first game is not till Thursday.

Not sure if they'd fly into BED or BOS; I'd guess BOS since it's very close to downtown, however a lot of the sports teams flying into Boston use BED due to it being uncongested.

Looks to me like it'll be a Swift Air 734 for the Lakers as well:
