Hello everyone, I thought the YEG contingent would be able to help me with this. I was checking the YEG livecam this morning and to my surprise there is an Ilyushin sitting on the ramp. Unfortunately, from that position it is nigh impossible for those without ramp access to photograph. That said, if anyone can provide me with some information- that would be excellent. I am assuming it is some sort of military charter, but they usually use AN-124s. Why an IL-76 today? I suppose my most important question is: when is it departing so us YEG photogs can get a decent shot?

A word of warning to those heading on Highway II south to YEG, there is a massive speed trap set up by a law enforcement agency I have never heard of. Better yet, there are speed limit signs of both 80 and 110. Looks fun going back for it. They're still parked there as I write this, I had to leave my post on a range road adjacent to 20 because I have an appointment, I really hope it is still there when I am done. I can't see them on the camera any more so probably not
Edit: That said, when I was pulling away from YEG, it looked to be parked in the area adjacent US departures behind the dirt berms and jet-blast fences. It didn't appear that the engines or lights were on. I have no idea. Anyone know what's going on?

Drat, if it had showed up on flight aware before I left this morning, I would have canceled my appointment and stuck around . Thank you for finding it, at least I've saved myself another trip out there.
