Suppose no big surprise considering TACA association with Volaris already.
Quote: TACA Signs Agreement With Mexican LCC Volaris
06/05/2008
Grupo Taca and Volaris signed a deal on code- and information-sharing, plus better mutual use of distribution channels.
The Mexican low-cost carrier will add to its destinations with Taca's vast Americas route network while El Salvador-based Taca will do likewise domestically in Mexico.

TACA is acting as a solid Volaris' shareholder nowadays.
I did a quick research on volaris.com.mx and TA MEX-GUA, TA MEX-SAL and TA MEX-SJO are bookable in that website. No signs about any other interline arrangement for different routes at this time.
Volaris is based in TLC and the usage of the "Shuttle Volaris" would lighten the trouble derived from the ground connection between MEX and TLC.
Analyzing that Volaris is regulated upon the low-cost carrier business model, the mixture of their operations may represent some kind of adjustments in the level of service offered to the air travelers.

Has TACA shown any interest in flying into Toluca?? this partnership would work a bit better if TACA launched a daily Toluca flight, not necceseraly decreasing its service to congested MEX, just adding TLC to their network....
Not to highjack the thread, what's the latest on Interjet to Central America???

Leaving GUA Nothing on the local news here yet, but flights GUA-TLC are no longer bookable after June 8, and when I asked an Interjet sales manager about it he confirmed the station was being closed.

Ouch...
I guess the demand is just not there, at least not to TLC.
plus, interjet is really not THAT cheap, so you're better off flying to MEX anyway.

I've heard nothing concerning to that possibility.

Both MX and CM are offering services within Mexico for passengers coming from Central America and TA is likely willing to participate in such market as well.
The chance for a new service heading to TLC depends in how TA relies on those stations in Mexico. The unsolved question is where the fictitious new TA's flight pointing to Toluca would depart from?

They rapidly filed GUA-CUN.
In the current Central American aviation thread version, it was stated that GUA-TLC will end up shortly meaning a clear picture for poor performance levels in the mentioned segment.
