Can anyone please tell me what routes Delta flys with their 737's from Boston. I have been seeing a lot more lately when spotting. I know they used to use them for the transcons from boston, but they scraped those routes....sny help would be great.

From what I know, LAX sees the 7373, LAS, which is being cut, sees the 737 and the seasonal CUN service also sees the air craft. SLC is all 752s and ATL I believe is all MD 80s and 752s. CVG also sees 738 service

Is Delta the number 2 or 3 carrier out of BOS now?

DL has 737-800 service out of BOS to ATL (3x), CVG (3x), BDA (1x), LAX (1x), JFK (1x) Florida is all MD-88/757/CRJ-900, while SLC is 2x 757. JFK also has an MD-80 and the Shuttle is all MD-80.

DL is number 2 in overall flights (90 daily flights today; second only to US with 113) and No. 2 in destinations served (B6 has 25 cities, DL has 23 cities). In terms of passengers, AA, DL and US are all battling it out for first. JetBlue is number one in terms of passengers carried by the mainline, but when you add in regional subsidiaries, I know Delta jumps over B6 (DL had around 550k Connection passengers out of BOS last year) and I believe AA and US just edge them out too. Thus, the rankings would be DL, AA/US (I think AA has the edge here) and JetBlue in fourth.

Delta might be subbing in a 738 for the MD-80 every now and then; I'm flying JFK-BOS on June 21st and the flight I'm on is scheduled to be a 738 (lucky, because it was orginally scheduled to be a CRJ). How many of the 738s have been updated with the new personal TV system?

Thats what I look at is mainline passnegers not all the regional carriers. I already know Jetblue is #1 as far a passengers (by mainline).

You can use anything you want but it doesn't mean it would be right. Why not passengers on airlines that use the A-320?

Regional carriers count just as much in my book - their planes say the name of that airline on the side of it and 90% of its passengers don't know (or don't care) that it's operated by a subsidiary. B6 is number one by mainline but it's pretty important to count those regional jets in flight counts.

Going by strictly mainline ops, B6 is the largest by passengers (and destinations), US has the most flights (B6 had 52 mainline flights out of BOS today; US had 64, which helps when you have 15 dailies to DCA, 16 dailies to LGA and 17 dailies to PHL). DL had 44 today (16x LGA and 12x ATL the big routes) and AA had 40 (9x to DFW and ORD each are the big ones). UA had 29 mainline and CO had 21 mainline today at BOS.

BOS-JFK currently has 1x 737-800, 1x MD-88, 2x CRJ-900, 3x CRJ-100 and 1x ERJ-145 a day (including June 21). Delta's online flight schedule shows that the JFK-BOS flights on a 737-800 will have PTVs, but that's no guarentee (I was scheduled on one a couple of weeks ago on CVG-BOS but a regular 737-800 did the flight). Not sure if it will stay since the JFK-BOS-JFK flight is a turn but it's a good chance since there are a lot of refitted 737-800s flying out of JFK (due to the transcons out of there).
