All Quiet @ T5?

BA moved the next phase of long haul into T5 last week... and it's been quiet in the media.. so I take it all went well and smoothly with little to no impact?

Anyone have any observations?

Smooth at silk! On time departures were 85% that day (industry standard on std +15 Mins)

All went smoothly. Apprently out the front It was a very quiet day that day. Was weird seeing the likes of LOS and JFK on the departure and arrival screens.

Wil restart my daily update when I go back to work on the 19th.

We went through T5 on April 23 inbound from YVR and returned on May 19. While the building is beautiful and airy and everything seemed to work OK I'll say one thing...it sure as hell wasn't designed with the passenger in mind as you have to walk forever to get anywhere! From where the plane was parked to where you actually get out of the building to the street we felt like we walked halfway back to Vancouver! Long hallways,down escalators, more walking, a subway ride that was so short it is laughable and then more walking, evelators, escalators etc!! The return trip was much the same....signs saying give yourself 20 minutes to reach the gate from the terminal area. They need many more moving sidewalks for sure....give me YVR anytime!
