After all the A-300 in AA fleet are very old but are the 757 so much younger?
Some info about AA 757?
And do the A-300 burn more fuel than the 757 in term of Seat/fuel?

While I have no stats to back up my assertions, you would have to think the CASM of the 757 is more favorable than the A300. While the A300 was an asset to AA with it's large cargo capacity which comes in handy on all those VFR flights from JFK and MIA to the Caribbean and Latin America, the CASM is probably no longer workable due in large part to the increased costs of fuel.

I defiantly think AA is probably kicking themselves for not ordering the 757-300, while it does not have the cargo capacity of the A300 it carries roughly the same number of passengers with a fraction of the CASM of the A300.
