I was reading Air Transport World (June edition) on a flight yesterday and the lead article was on Asiana "Asiana's Magic"...sorry but the article is not online. In it though it discussed some new routes that Asiana wanted to fly to. Interestingly Atlanta was listed. Being a Star Alliance carrier and also since KE and DL fly the ATL-ICN route does anyone think that this would ever fly? Of course I would love to see another carrier come into ATL but with the Skyteam fortress I am not sure that this will ever take-off?

Landing on every Continent almost on an annual basis!

ATL seems a bit odd but remember airlines are free to have codeshares with other airlines that arent in the same alliance as them if they wish to - there is nothing stopping OZ codesharing on some of DL's domestic flights ex ATL if they wish to.

Thing is, KE already serve ATL dont they? Hard to envisage DL would codeshare with them both, or that there would be enough traffic to support both carriers on the route.

I would expect to see OZ looking at passenger service to:

Kuala Lumpur
Abu Dhabi

What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

Asiana plans to ATL because there's a factory (or more than just factory) of Kumho company (Kumho is Asiana's mother..) near Atlanta. I'm also doubt they will finally succeed in launching or not.

ZRH and MUC despite being *A hubs are already served by KE.

OZ has served AKL few years ago, and totally failed to to into the market because of their competitor KE. I think KE's presence in AKL is very strong.
