ongtime airport manageer Mort Plumb who has run the Anchorage International Airport is resigning.

He has been a love/hate kind of person for the airport. A lot of people will be happy to see him go.

During his tenure the airport has expanded, a new parking garage is being built, the C concourse was rebuilt but a planned 2nd N/S runway plan was recently shelved when 200 people showed up at a public meeting to complain. Even the tenents association panned the plan.
