Until 2011, Budapest Airport Zrt. will be investing more than 261 million euros in expanding and modernizing the airport’s infrastructure.


-Major redevelopment of the current terminals 2A and 2B.
-A new "SkyCourt" will connect the two existing terminal buildings.
-New Cargo City will be constructed near RWY 31R.
-An Airport City will be constructed and will house numerous stores and amenities as well as a 4 star hotel.

Central-Eastern Europe needs a major hub for both cargo and pax carriers. Will BUD be able to compete with and overtake the other major airports in the area and attract new airlines?

While this is obviously good news for the local economy as well as for local jobs etc what will happen from a enthusiasts/spotters point of view with regards to 1) the small museum near Terminal 2 & 2) the viewing terrace on Terminal 2?
