I have seen this on www.ba.com for a while now. It looks like more airlines are starting to add this option. I just saw it on www.delta.com. Who actually adds on the extra cost for the Carbon Offset? What other airlines will add this option?

Almost all major airlines offer carbon offset and even the budgets are doing it. It's more prominent in the booking process of some that others. All flights I have booked or flown over the last few years have had carbon offset as an option.

There is quite a lot of controversy surrounding the consumer cost of the carbon offset and where the money actually goes.
