Hi Everyone,
I will be spending a couple of days in business meetings at the Sheraton at Heathrow Airport on Monday and Tuesday of the coming week (June 30th, July 1st). What would the best times to catch good sightings of the Singapore A380? Living in Chicago, I havent really had any chances to see the giant. (Missed the one time it visited ORD).
Also are there any specific spots at/around the Sheraton that will give me a great view? I imagine (like most days) they will be launching planes out on 27R which runs parallel to the Sheraton. Since I am actually attending meetings, I will not be able to stray too far from the Sheraton.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I suggest you try the search engine, this came up last week, and the week before that, and before that, and before that, and.... well, you get the idea. And you might have better luck in the Photography forum.

I understand currently the A380 can only use 9R / 27L ( The one on the opposite side of the airport from the hotels ). Dont know if this was changed, something to do with runway width or weight I recall. (Ive never seen it use any other runway)... though I believe it approaches / departs in the same flow as the traffic using the other runways
Best viewing place is from the foot bridge over the main road right outside Hatton Cross tube... but warned if it's landing have your camera ready.. it doesnt give much warning !!!
Happy viewing.
So far in 2008 45 flights and Gold already. JFK, IAD, LGA, SIN, HKG, NRT, AKL, PPT, LAX still to book ! Home Airport LCY

The Singapore A380 can use both runways as i have seen it depart and land on the northern runway 27R.
