Did anyone catch McCain's 190 at FAT today? It's at SBA now.

Is he using JetBlue for his on-going charter flights?

I haven't heard what the final answer was yet, but I do recall a briefing that said IF he choses us for the campaign airline for the final Presidential race, you would probably see him get an A320 which would have to be painted and re-configured to his specs. It was also brought up that it would be one of the older A320's that we have in our fleet (N503 or N505) since those originally had the ovens in them that we yanked out...as he wants ovens onboard. He has been using us all throughout the primary race up through now though.

If he get's elected prez, he'll be sporting a 747.

At which point we will paint the 320 back to standard B6 paint LOL!

I remember David Neeleman once talking about how at some point Jet Blue would come to cities like FAT. Of course, Neeleman is gone. And, with the departure of the 190 this afternoon, so is Jet Blue.

It was good while it lasted...all five hours or so...

Right now, it wouldn't be the best move to start up a new city like FAT. I feel your pain though. Don't get me wrong, I love working for B6 and I am very excited about the new T5 at JFK...but I would love it that much more if I only had to commute to ISP (5 minutes away from me) instead of JFK (45 minutes away from me) LOL! Lord knows how many rumors I heard about ISP in my time here at B6.

I don't think that will happen since those planes have new paint on them. I think if he does take a A320 it will be one of the N55*JB series planes since those have not been repainted.

I think it'll be great seeing him fly around on an A320, but I don't see how that his following will let him fly a FRENCH aircraft when Obama didn't wear a U.S. Flag pin!  Smile I don't care that he would fly in an Airbus, I think it's those folks on the right that are so Pro-America it'd be WRONG to see him so such a thing. For the record, I support his opponent and have no intentions of blasting McCain, I just made an observation.

Cheers,

He would have to pay for painting the a/c to his c/s and back anyway. It makes more sense to have an aircraft that has the equipment on the inside (in this case the ovens), which the higher number aircraft didn't have at delivery. It would be nice to have a higher number aircraft do the deed so it would get a new paint job at the end though, but it's more about the guts of the plane than the exterior cosmetics.

Again, this is just little bits of info received during a meeting with the charter crew which is why I am not releasing too much more info.
