DL, CSA CZECH AIRLINES RECEIVE DOT APPROVAL FOR CODESHARE. The U.S. Department of Transportation today approved Delta’s application to operate codeshare service with CSA Czech Airlines beginning March 25. The two carriers will also provide customers with service to destinations in the U.S., Central/Eastern Europe and the Middle East from New York (JFK and Newark) and Prague. DL will begin codeshare flights between New York-Kennedy (JFK) and Newark and Prague on CSA’s Airbus 310 aircraft. The JFK-Prague flight begins operations on April 9. Delta said it also would codeshare on CSA flights between Prague and Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels.
CSA PARTNERSHIP OPENS UP MORE MARKETS. Delta’s codeshare agreement with CSA will enable customers to reach even more destinations in eastern Europe and beyond. Plans call for codeshare flights on CSA via Prague to Budapest, Hungary; Vienna, Austria; Warsaw, Poland; Zagreb, Croatia; Larnaca, Cyprus; Brno and Ostrava, Czech Republic; Riga, Latvia; Bratislava and Kosice, Slovakia; and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Flights on CSA will be available for sale in all major reservations’ systems effective March 9. CSA also will join the SkyTeam alliance of Aeromexico, Air France, DL and Korean Air on March 25.
