Ted To Fly ORD-MSY

Looks like UA is switching one of the three ORD-MSY flights from an E170 to a Ted A320 in September. If anything it will give the market over 80 additional daily seats which will be needed since AA is not bringing its 3rd nonstop back.

Well according to the latest press releases, TED should be dead by 2009. Don't forget, airline schedules and aircraft can change frequently. September is a long time away, and I am sure UA has not finalized its Fall 08 schedule yet and most likely won't for another month or so.

So even if it is TED, it won't be for long.

It'll be just like what Delta went through with Song. The paint and interiors will be around for a couple years but the actual marketing/branding will be gone.

The paint, yes. The interiors were converted very quickly to the blue leather in Y, and the "new" F seats with the PTVs.
