Today alone, I read links from 2 airlines (AA & UA) discontinuing service to cities and 2 additional link for additional upcoming capacity cuts (F9 & FL).

American & Eagle discontinued service OAK, MDT & a few California cities and South American destinations

United discontinued service to PBI and FLL.

Delta Connection State College, PA

Continental & Express discontinued service to IAD and several other markets.

This is adding up fast and becoming uglier day by day. What have I missed?

ALB-ORD on AA, blew my mind but, you know an airline has to do what it has to do to survive. Hopefully UA/WN will put more frequency's on the route, but hey you never know. UA will probably put back 320's on the route, which is good.

I'm sure more cuts will come to ALB.

To catch you up on what is happening in Tucson;
Jet Blue pulled out completely. They had one JFK red eye.
US is cancelling their two flights to Las Vegas.
Continental is canceling their daily to Newark.
Express Jet is canceling their flights to Reno, Austin, Spokane. El Paso went in March.

BFL is losing (has lost) Mexicana to GDL, and ExpressJet to SAN and SMF.

US reduces from four to three daily roundtrips to PHX (two on Saturday) and loses service to LAS entirely.

UA reduces BFL-DEN from two daily roundtrips to one, BFL-SFO goes from three to two, but BFL-LAX stays at three.

DL once again cancels the morning BFL-SLC and evening SLC-BFL, leaving only the midday SLC-BFL-SLC flight.

Continental and American still shy away from the airport, leaving premium business traffic to journey over the Tehachapi mountains to LAX. Okay, I couldn't resist that...

All of these figures are approximate, but they give you an idea:

Prior to cuts:

MX x4 to GDL @ +/- 132 seats = 528 seats per week
XE x 14 to SMF/SAN @ 50 seats = 700 seats per week
US x 20 to PHX @ 50 seats = 1000 seats per week (CR2)
US x 7 to PHX @ 70 seats = 490 seats per week (CR9)
US x 4 to LAS @ 50 seats = 200 seats per week (CR2)
UA x 14 to DEN @ 50 seats = 700 seats per week
UA x 21 to SFO @ 30 seats = 630 seats per week
UA x 21 to LAX @ 30 seats = 630 seats per week
DL x 14 to SLC @ 50 seats = 700 seats per week

TOTAL: 5578 seats per week.

After cuts:

US x 13 to PHX @ 50 seats = 650 seats per week (CR2)
US x 7 to PHX @ 70 seats = 490 seats per week (CR9)
UA x 7 to DEN @ 50 seats = 350 seats per week
UA x 14 to SFO @ 30 seats = 420 seats per week
UA x 21 to LAX @ 30 seats = 630 seats per week
DL x 7 to SLC @ 50 seats = 350 seats per week

TOTAL: 2890 seats per week.

This represents a loss of 2688 seats per week - approximately 48.2% of the previously scheduled available amount.
It won't be long before the beautiful William Thomas terminal is a ghost town.
