There have been plenty of changes in the industry nationwide as of late and it's no exception in New Orleans...although for the most part, the airport has been spared (thus far) from any significant cuts...and the cuts that have been or will be made are generally being replaced with new service and/or increased capacity. Here are two new finds...
American will be adding a 3rd ORD-MSY with an Eagle CR7 on 2Nov. Here is the flight schedule, the times of which are subject to change between now and then obviously:
AA will also continue to offer 2x daily MD-80 service in the market.
Also, Ted will make an appearance on MSY-IAD in November, operating the 1245 MSY-IAD and the 1650 return flight. MSY will be a mostly Ted station for United come November, with 8 out of planned 11 flights operated by the soon to be extinct "airline within an airline".

I don't think they have officially announced anything, but I would guess it won't be coming back, especially since DL will be flying the route 2x daily come September....including all MD-88 service on Sunday's.
