This Picasa web album was shared with me. It has scanned slide images taken by a former UA employee who worked at SFO in the late 1960s. There are great pictures of the old reservations office, the terminal, the flight planning center, on the ramp, in the catering kitchen, and onboard a DC8 flight, etc.

For anyone who grew up in the area this is quite a blast from the past. It is amazing how much air travel has changed since then.

I hope you enjoy it!

OMG...Thanks for sharing! Let it be known I'm all of 18 years old, and this is completely different from today's standards: the kitchen, seat assingments, ext. AMAZING, and thanks again...

Great stuff! Thanks for sharing. It's a little before my time. My first flight memories on on a Finnair DC-8 in the mid 70s.

Scarily enough, UA still uses those same model carts (the flatbeds, not the eggs) in ONT, and most other UA stations, I'm sure.

Thanks for that walk. I wasn't UA but the secon photo shows where I used to go to pick up passes and other company business - the Pacific CTO. Great rare shot.
