With all the changes going on in AA and Eagle; I had the opportunity to speak w/ an Eagle flight attendant; Rosanne, during my flight from LGA to RDU yesterday. I asked how she and others were dealing with all the changes and here is a small recap of what she said:
- They have been told that all Embraer 135 aircraft flying for American Eagle will be retired.
- "New and Different" Fleet will be coming into American Eagle to replace ERJ135
- Either LGA or BOS will not be an AE Base anymore. She was based out of LGA and in her opinion she thinks BOS base will go way before LGA.
- States they have been trying to get an RDU base for some time now.

Your flight attendant was misinformed.
29 of 39 E135s will be parked.
All the Northeast flying will remain on Embraers, and primarily on E135s.
The decision on which domiciles will remain in the Northeast is not finalized yet. There are some negotiations going on to mitigate problems for crewmembers and the airline. The most likely scenario is that JFK will be the primary domicile, so the offices at LGA will be moved to JFK, but even that is not finalized yet.
I do not think RDU is under consideration for becoming a domicile at this point. A few years ago it nearly happened, but it's not going to happen now.
