An A330 of the Qatar Emiri Flight visited CLE yesterday, most likely on a Cleveland Clinic visit. Thank goodness for the Clinic, or we would never get to see such exotic beauties here!:

You were born at the Clinic? Wow...you don't hear about people being born there much, the heart stuff steals the show so much of the time.

The Cleveland Clinic brings all kinds of neat stuff to Cleveland...

It's a shame that the clinic is builiding a facility in Abu Dhabi. This will probably eliminate the need for wealthy middle east patients to fly to CLE.

Abu Dhabi is supposed to be the first of several (six?) facilities in the UAE.

Some trips will continue. A lot of these cases depend on the interdisciplinary skill, which is not all that portable. Plus the Clinic just got the Hellenic Heart Program, which will bring in a good number of Greek pediatric heart cases, although these children probably won't be able to commandeer their own jumbos for the trip.

I love long German words like 'Freundschaftsbezeigungen'.

We are talking 1957..thats well before medicine did much for your heart other than give you nitroglycerin for angina and wish you luck!

They fly 'em out as well. My ex-boss' colleague (cardiologist) was flown out to see the King of Saudi recently.... Wow!
