Who are they operating out of where? Is it a charter orientated set up?

They are an Italian airline. They operate both charter and regular flights. The regular flights are mainly to leisure destinations like Cuba, Madagascar, Mexico, etc. See

http://www.blue-panorama.com/

for more details. They have an affiliated low-cost carrier, called Blu-express:

It's a good looking website, looks like a half sensible operation - for Italy!!!

They also fly once a week to RTB (Roatan, a Honduran island off the north coast, in the Caribbean sea).

They are run by an absolute tyrant of a President - Franco Pecci - few safety issues a while back and rumours on the web of crews leaving or getting fired for some very strange reasons indeed.

PPrune if you are interested.

Good airline and good people but being run ragged by all accounts. I know they were looking at getting some A320s and A332s at one stage recently. Interesting to see how that turns out.

Don't they also have some B-787-800s on order, too?

I think this was meant to be interim lift until the 788s arrive, or a replacement so they could sell the slots.

Blue Panorama is a very good product on the charter end of the operation, from personal experience. I have flown them to both Varadero and Recife. The crews were very professional. The meals were very very good for charter. It is a very good airline. I know that there are constant rumors about the management from time to time in the press. However, overall myself as well as friends and family have all have very good flights on them. Friends and family of mine have used them in conjunction with vacation packages to Natal, Zanzibar, and Male.

Useless fact - they were the joint European launch customer for the B787 but have now sold their planes to a leasing company and will lease them back

Those would be some really nice looking 332s if they do indeed receive them  yes . I really like their livery for some reason.

This is the first I've heard about their service. This is good to know, thanks.

We often judge others by their actions, but ourselves by our intentions.
