Does anyone have any positive / negative experiences or comments from UA's move to LHR T1 today?
I arrived into LHR this morning on UA938 from ORD. Touched down early after a pleasant flight but were held on the taxiway for a little while until a gate became available. Rather long walk to border to control, but rapid entry for me (a UK passport holder). Star Alliance arrivals lounge an arse to find (after leaving baggage reclaim, security, etc, go to the far end of the arrivals area and take the right hand elevator up to the second floor... note that this is the only one of the four or five lifts that serves this floor) but very quiet and features a very well stocked breakfast buffet with some hot options to order, and nice enough showers.
Any other experiences from those who arrived or departed from T1 with UA today?

Cannot comment on ops on the 4th July for UA but I hopefully should be flying with UA on Thursday if all goes well to ORD and I will report then if I go.
What I would say is that the departures area where UA's gates are, are light years ahead than that which was offered in T3 and thats before we start to think about Heathrow East.
