I don´t know, but the last pictures on a.net and other sites are from April. If they´re doing fine, there should be newer photos, don´t you think?

They ceased operations in april. I guess the 727s and 737-200s will be rusting away in South Africa (JNB and so) while the 737-500s and 767 will probably move on to other operators.

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

I'm not sure but I think the B763 will go to the new operator Redair (former Civair).

Quoting MEA-707 (Reply 2):
the 727s

For a long time now the CE 727 fleet has been parked at the end of 03L just next to SAA's run up bay.

You can see a couple of them on Google Earth at 26° 8'52.17"S 28°13'45.65"E

After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...

The 727s and 737s are parked at JNB. They were being held by the company's liquidators while the airline's books were being studied.

It seems that the liquidators have found a buyer for CE. The new airline would operate out of Durban international airport.

While Laher would not give details regarding the identity of the potential buyer or what kind of airline would be operated, sources said it would operate as a low-cost airline to rival kulula.com, 1Time and Mango.

Laher also confirmed that there were strong indications the company would use Durban as its headquarters

Thanks. Interesting developments. With the next Soccer Tournament being the World Cup 2010 in SA, I can imagine there are still financial groups trying to capitalize on that, right?

Exactly. Interesting times lie ahead. The key issue though is the oil price.
