Will be traveling back to ORF in a few weeks, I noticed the website that UAL has moved their gate from the end of B Concourse (They had B25 IIRC) to B18. I believe this was the former gate of Indy Air, and actually has no jetway. Did UAL have a jetway installed there or have they switched to boarding via the ramp?
Also, now that AA has completely left the Chicago-ORF market, does anyone know if UA has seen a bump in their numbers? Would love to see mainline in there (doubtful considering a sizable chunk of the fleet is going away this fall).

Wow! Somebody's talking about ORF!
Hmmm.....I remember when UA put their props at the end of B. But recently, when we were taxing down to the A concourse (flew US), I saw an UA Express E Jet near the start of the B Concurse. It was serviced by a jetway. I'm not sure if their props go into that gate where I saw that E Jet, but my guess is yes. They might do the same thing that DL (Comair) does with their CRJs in ORF: From the Jetway, they step down to the tarmac and board from the ground.
Speaking of gate changes @ ORF: I noticed that Comair CRJ was at the end of the terminal. And if I'm right, it was in the place of a CO gate. Hmmmm......
One more thing: Is anybody from ORF except for me?

UAX does infact use gate B-18 ( the old indy gate ) at ORF. I flew in there when it had recently been moved back in June.... They do operate a jetway for the EMB-170s and CRJ-700 but if your over nighting, unless your on the last aircraft in your gana be using air stairs...Also DGS no longer holds the contract its handled by Air-Wisconsin but its all the same DGS employees...
The opinions I post are of mine and mine alone, not of the airline I work for.
