On a this week trip through LHR I met these British cargo pilots. They mentioned an Operator out of Zimbabwe called something like Avient. I wiki-ed them and they seem to exist indeed. How are they doing and what's the story? I was very surprised learning they were flying the good old 10's.

I think Zimbabwe is just a flag of convience for the carrier. It is backed by a UK company, check out their website at www.avient.aero. They do not even have scheduled services to Zimbabwe.

They arent Zimbabwean - they are run by a Brit. Lots of allegations of gun running and other such shady business - no idea how much is true but lets just say we get asked about them a lot.
