Will Avianca take and operate all the A-330s AND 787s they have on order, now Oceanair doesn't seem to go anywhere and their Ecuadorian and (late) Peruvian outlets also give little hope to expand outside the country?
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Thanks for the pics Ricardo. I've been waiting a long time for this (Also thanks for your US MIA-MAD TR, quite unique with the youtube slide show and all.....)
Talking about this, there's quite a fuss in this market. AV and LA now have U$37 roundtrip fares in Y, I just booked it. I guees trying to fight against NK?? (Sorry but i'm not trying to hijack this thread, just don't think it deserves a new one).

Its a very nice aircraft, the livery complimets it very well. Does anyone remeber the config? I think its gonna be something like 18J/220Y.....
Quoting MAH4546 (Reply 8): One daily each from Bogota to Madrid and Miami.
They will receive two A330s this year.
One will be on BOG-MAD-BOG, and the other will be on BOG-MIA-BOG-LIM-BOG (that is the rotation that the 767 makes right now).

In the first shot it looks like they also painted the floor with that red color. Besides, why is it completely painted before getting the engines? Normally the planes at TLS have the engines before the paint is added, they fly around with that olive green fuselage.
Very nice plane, however. I assume this is c/n 948?? It is one of the highlights that I'm looking for. Others are:

I fully agree on that. That is one very beautiful A330!!! I hope it will do some crew familiarization flights to CUR before going to MIA & MAD. It will probably not happen but who knows

Bogota-based FA's are currently being trained for the 777 in preparation of the morning flight switching to a 772 this winter. It is already set to switch to a 763 in the mean time.

26 RICARIZA: Jejeje, thanks. I am glad you liked it.. it was such a great experience on the A-330, I truly loved it.
27 Jfk777: AA is putting the 777 on the BOG to Miami route. One upsmanship on this route seems a little much given its only a 3 and a half hour flight.
28 PanAm747LHR: What a gorgeous aircraft! Congratulations to everyone at Avianca! Hope to see it sometime up here in New York! Nick
30 BA319-131: Given the choice I'd take an A330 over a 777 any day. M
31 Avianca: as per my understanding they will use it also on the CLO - MAD route....
32 SXDFC: Just after looking at these pictures, I fell in love with the aircraft! You can almost smell the new paint looking at those pictures!
33 Solnabo: What! Is Royal Jordanian to get a 340-600 or is it a typo? Dont have to tell you that this Avianca 330-200 is a beauty as they all are. Love the c/s
34 Hirnie: Stunning!!! She's a beauty!!!! How many of those beauties will AV recieve in total?
35 Thorben: They are, but it will be a government plane. Certainly not, it was on my list, just as the others I mentioned. I really can't wait to see the SU A332
36 RICARIZA: Some others from the same forum, Thank you CEYA.
37 Alitalia744: what kinda engines is she gonna be hanging?

83 Avianca: couldnt agree more !!! In Colombia is no market for a F class, same goes for Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador ....
84 Jfk777: I don't question Avianca could do a 3 class airplane but why would they want to have an 8 First Cabin on an A330 which would sell 2 seats seats daily
