Just found out the A380 is doing a flying display at RIAT Fairford this Saturday.  Smile

Other notable visitors include the Swiss and Turkish F5 display teams, the F22 Raptor, a FedEx A300-600F, the A332MRTT, Apaches, loads of Vipers, Tonkas, Gripens, Tiffies and Bugs. Superbug will be there too apparently, and the legendary "bone" will be doing its car alarm routine again which is always unmissable.

Anyone else going?

What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

Is it doing a display, or just a flyby in conjunction with it's mini-tour of the UK?

No trees were harmed by this message. However, several million electrons were terribly inconvenienced

the F22 Raptor

I live here in the states and have yet to be able to catch the F-22A in action. I've heard by many guys in the USAF that we as the public only catch just 1/5 of the real performance of the F-22A....most of the coolest stuff they can't show at the air show darn it! I would love to be able to catch the F-22A and A380 at one show...man that would be cool. If you can CHRISBA777ER, post pics  yes

I'll do my best - the girlfriend has scored us VIP corporate tickets so should have a good view!  Smile

I'm off with work to the corporate day at Farnbough next week too so will borrow her SLR and nab some pics of the various cool stuff they have on display there. Suspect Farnborough will be more fun but hey ho, I get to spend two days next week staring at planes and upsetting my girlfriend by how much I know - she thinks shes marrying a right spotter type!

(she totally is) lol

rotfl  Lucky you. I would absolutely love to go to Farnborough or Le Bourge, but I don't see that happening for a while  hissyfit . Once again if you can, snap some pics of Farnborough if you can!  highfive
