Does anyone know what specific gates Delta and Continental use at London Heathrow's Terminal 4? I can't find it anywhere on their websites, arrivals/departures simply state "Terminal 4" (although Delta indicates "OPS Gate"). Or do they park off gates and have everyone go down the portable stairs, and if so, close to what gate.

AT LHR no airline has specific gates as here in the USA. The gates at Terminal 4 are for l the airlines hat use the terminal. For scheduling reasons, certain flights may use the same gates daily but things will change as BA moves more flights to Termnal 5.

Interesting - I guess that's why I read on a blog about how someone waited for their gate number to be posted at terminal 4, which sounded odd.

At CO at T4, we use a number of different gates. Our 767 operations tend to use 1C, 21, 20 or 16. Our 777's can go pretty much anywhere though, depending on what's open. Some days of the week, we have an 'off-pier' day, as the gates are shared amongst all airlines and 11% of operations at each carrier must be off-pier on a monthly basis.

On my last CO flight from LHR, had to take a bus to a 777 from "gate" 1A, and walk up the steps from the tarmac to the plane. Just as well it wasn't raining
Would have made for great pics had my camera been handy....
