All I want to say is: Awesome sight to see this beast sitting at the international ramp in IND. It's a real shame that IND can't have this planes on a regular basis along with the 747's.

Did they pull it up to one of the AA gates, or is it on the ramp just for a fuel stop&go?

No. It was over on the international ramp. It has since left, though.

I can't see how it was for wx. It has been beautiful since the rain left early this am.

There was holding earlier into ORD due to windshear alert on the field.

Awesome!! Anyone score any pics of it!! I recall being at IND back several years ago when a wx diverted TWA 767-200 came in.

Great to see great planes in great places...places they aren't supposed to be  Big grin

Becareful what you / I wish for. A Cargolux 747-400 landed within 30 min ago from Germany on it's way to LAX. Not sure on the reason for the stop in IND though. This same thing occured a few weeks ago. Still a pleasant site.

Looks like that one is a regularly scheduled flight...

Anyhow, 744s are not a common site at IND. (until FX invests in them)

I don't see FedEx getting any 744s anytime soon, especially if they are planning on getting the 777F in 1-2 yrs.
