TSA At It Again Or Media Exaggeration?

Posted (6 years 1 week 5 days 2 hours ago) and read 1959 times:

CNN reported that <1% of daily flights have air marshals on-board. TSA obviously denies the numbers but they have also launched an investigation into the matter. I don't know if this number is a true representation or one of the typical media hyperbole.

But the question becomes...if its not true...then why spend thousands of dollars investigating it?
