Sharp Decline In Widebody Movements At SVO

With the migration of carriers to DME, and Iran Air downgrading equipment from an A310 to TU-154, it appears that widebody movements at SVO are at an all-time-low. Other than SU's long haul flights to North America and Asia, and DL's daily flights to JFK and ATL, most others are not daily. This is all I could find: Air China (Dly) 777 to PEK, KE 772 (4x/wk) to ICN, Ariana Afghan (2x/wk) A310 to KBL, and PIA (4x/wk) A310 to DXB.

Once the new terminal is fully operational are there any plans to bring some long haul carriers back to SVO from DME?

You still get some fun stuff at SVO; Aeroflot-Don has it's Il-86s, Aeroflot has it's Il-96s, and Transaero brings in 747s for charters (not sure if the 767s move in/out of SVO)

JL is flying to DME since DEC 2007.
