Everyone else is axing Florida and JetBlue is adding. Wonder if they see an opening? Will they raise the fares?

They pushed FL out of SWF, they will now try the same trick at HPN. I don't think they will have as easy a time. FL has more history in HPN.

They don't have much more history, just a few months.

You have to remember that New Yorkers are pretty loyal to B6 so I think B6 has an advantage but I don't exactly believe if FL pulls out it will be just because of B6 but more of the current economy.

AirTran opened HPN in April 2006 and B6 opened it in April 2007. They both entered SWF in January 2007. My point is that FL had a 1 year head start and thus had a much greater opportunity to gain loyal customers. That will make them harder to displace. I'll go as so far as to say that I don't think B6 will succeed at getting them to leave HPN. At best, FL might fly only to ATL.

FL also has about twice the flights out of HPN that they operated out of SWF.

I believe with the expansion, B6 will have more flights than FL (and more seats per day).

FL will only serve ATL from HPN this fall... Looks like B6 will be the only non stop option out of HPN to Florida this fall.

Down to 5 flights a day this fall... Looks like B6 and FL have swapped there total dailies as B6 now will have 11 daily.

FL offerers connectivity however. Any B6 connectivity would have to be through FLL or possibly MCO, while FL offers every destination via ATL. I would actually like to see HPN-BWI on FL.

According to their web site, FL will still be operating twice daily from HPN to PBI this fall and winter. These flights are bookable. Flights to ATL & PBI seem to be the only flights on FL from HPN. Between B6 and FL that will give PBI 4 daily flights to HPN for the winter season.

PBI is South Florida's BEST airport!

They will be eliminated soon... This fall FL will only offer 5 daily non-stops to ATL out of HPN.
