Delta Connection flights from Green Bay have been pulled from the schedule after 8/31/08. with GRB-ATL already dopped months ago, it appears GRB is also on the chopping block.

I question the wisdom of pulling out of a market that they'll be reentering as soon as the merger closes... regardless of how much money the station is losing. Given that DL will be the largest carrier (and the only one with mainline and the only one with a F product) in GRB after the merger, though, maybe it doesn't matter.

With this cut, Green Bay will in the course of several weeks lose three airlines:

Allegiant - LAS (moving to ATW)
Continental - CLE
Delta - CVG (ATL lost earlier in the year)

This will leave GRB with only:

AA to ORD (+ 1 MQT tag flight)
UA to ORD
NW to MSP and DTW
YX to MKE

GRB will be fine with NW (DL) service to DTW & MSP, which will still be the domintant airline in the market. DL is a niche carrier currently in GRB. Those loyal NW folks will become DL.

In the end it will be a wash. It speaks more for the fact that CVG is essentially done.
