Hi all,

just interested in what United´s 777 N779UA is doing in GSO right now after coming in from Denver in the early morning of July 8th.

Can anyone lighten this up?

Thanks

Most of the 777's and 767's get regular MX service done in GSO and then ferry to IAD or ORD.
I don't think it's getting the new seats put in just yet...

GSO doesn't do 777 maint. Might be seats.

???????

False.

No mx is done in GSO. GSO is where the CABIN is refitted with the new seats and cabin refresh.

Also where winglets are added. At least for the first PS 757 IIRC and I think some 757 MX stuff is done there as well

DC8FanJet meant no regular 777 work is done in GSO. The seat project was bid seperately across several vendors with Timco GSO just happened to have the capacity for it.

Since 2005, 777 airframes are worked by Ameco(Air China - Lufthansa joint venture) in Beijing.
