I agree with JaseWGTN, althought AF should put in biger the Pegase (you know, the little sea horse under the cockpit window), and maybe make the lower part of the a/c in color, which could be the result of the come-down of the stripes (what we call in France the "Code Barres" ).

I believe a simple and elegant change would involve keeping the current colors but extending the "code barre" down onto the rear fuselage a la UTA. Maybe increasing the size (billboard ?) and font of the titles. I don't have the computer tools to simulate it but it could be nice.

I agree with extending the stripe design from the tail down around the fuselage. But I would also put that flying horse symbol they have, in the middle of the tail, with a white border so as to distinguish it from the stripes behind it.
Just curious, but what happened to their experimental grey cheatline they had a few years back now? why was it not adopted?

I'd change the tail to add more white. There's just not enough white in the livery, you know. So, I'd just put a blue 'AF' on a white tail, much in the same way AOM's all white livery looked. That would be classy.

i also agree that AF could do ´better in making sure that their planes aren´t as dirty. it´s not that i´d call the entire AF fleet dirty but always i see some AF aircraft, some of them or always dirty, much more often than KL,BA or LH.
and it´s the same with TP, IB, AZ in my eyes. although that could just be a coincidence. every airline has dirty aircraft from time to time.
btw, lauda air. i´ve never seen any dirty plane from them, they always shine and gleam and sparkle in the sun, they seem to be polished every day!!!!!
regarding the AF paint scheme, i agree that AF could use more color, extending the bars on the tail and perhaps adding some colour to the fuselage and the engines. no major changes, though.
the same counts for LH. although i like their scheme and although it´s mainly wide it somehow doesn´t seem so totally "white" to me, don´t ask me why. however, they could use more colour as well, f.e. on the engines.
If only pure sweetness was offered, why's this bitter taste left in my mouth.

I like it the way it is. The only change I would make is to play around more with the pegasus... make it more prominent and bring back the red in the wings. Over time, that classy little symbol has become smaller and smaller...
