Hey All,
Day four is a wrap for me here at Farnborough and I had a chance to take a tour of Air India's 777-300ER earlier today. VT-ALN is just 17 days old! She's still got that new airplane smell.
As an airplane geek of the highest magnitude, I knew we had to get it on film. So, I put together a video and photo tour of the cabin and flight deck of the aircraft. I even give my own tour of the business end of the 777. I don't think I did so bad on three hours of sleep each night this week and too much caffeine. Though, I know the Boeing folks who build and design the aircraft and the 777 pilots that read this thread will probably cringe, so I apologize in advance. Just chalk it up to the media not knowing anything about aviation. :-P

Great Work Jon!
Air India did a great job with the 77W. I wonder if the Slim Economy seats are a little less comfortable though.

Great vid. Love the gold-plated F class dining ware. Biz class isn't bad either, much in line with other top-notch biz class products. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice presentation!
Looks very much the same as the -200/LR that I flew on last year. Air India on my flight JFK-BOM provided EXCELLENT service, much better than what I have experienced on Jet Airways or Emirates. Hope to fly LAX-DEL on AI's new 77W in early Nov this year.
For my trip report on the AI 77L, check the trip report forum.

It seems to be quite a classic set up for a 773. Still I like a few things:
- nice colors
- 1 inch more in Y (and 9 abreast, not 10 like AF and EK dare do)
- good amenities

The Air India 777-300ER looks great but so many passenger, it as a 4/35/303 configuration. Cathay has 301 on their 777-300ER & SIA has 278. I wouls have thought for their new flagship AI would have 8 in First and 49 in Business.

I was at Farn BORO earlier in the week, was good to see the Air India. It is just a shame that Boeing again decide to have nothing flying!! I hope that in 2010 they will demonstrate the 787 in the flying display!!

Aircraft is only nice if the service and flight attendants are good. I've flown AI on a new 777 a few months back and though the aircraft was nice, the service made it ugly. Typical Indian Government attitude with the FAs.

Great tour Jan. I do like the seat features in Economy that help fight fatigue.
