In view of all the doom and gloom both sides of the Atlantic it will be interesting to see if any aircraft go over to Canada this winter from the UK Charter operators? Does anyone think that there will be a lot of aircraft on the ground this year. Even worse will the accountants not like the balance sheets and maybe close some of the operators down.
Already we are seeing massive cuts on regional flying in the winter from the Major tour operators. I think this will be the winter that will sort the wheat from the chaf but then next summer there will not be enough seats and the prices will rocket.
It is a bad thing that there are really only two major operator now and if they decide to pull flights then all those people who have brought houses overseas will be left high and dry!!
