I liked her better when she was with N7, but nice livery nonetheless!  thumbsup

I liked the Bush 757 back in 2000. It was bolder, and Obama's plane doesn't have his name in big letters.

Looks better than many standard airline liveries.

I think the Obama campaign have a marketing reason for that. It gives a subtle impression that the campaign is about more than just the candidate...

How can you track it? I know the flight number had usually been NA01, but Flightaware seems to be having trouble with it.
It flew from MIA-MDW on the Thursday, but then there's a flight scheduled today from TUL-MDW. Do they ever use a different flight number?

Oh gawsh yes! The N7 livery was one of my favorites. I did not know North American picked her up! I do like the paint on this, but I agree, the National paint was sweet on this bird.

It's likely that the livery could change being that the VP candidate hasnt been chosen yet. Kerry changed his plane's livery the night before he announced Edwards as his VP.

Or maybe they dont want to be Obama's name on it bc they dont want to deal with an eventual re-painting of the livery once the VP is chosen.

I believe that AA does maintenance check for North American at the TUL base. Possibly getting a good check before she hits the campaign trail?

When I first saw the small thumbnail picture, my first thought was "When did EgyptAir get 757s?". Pretty freaky! With that said, it's a nice looking plane.

I don't really see the resemblance, white plane with a blue tail? Looks more like a UPS 757 to me, just with the colors changed.

I'm guessing they won't re-paint it. They did leave plenty of white space to add to it if needed.
It is interesting though, McCain's plane also doesn't leave space for the VP. It does on the right side but not the left. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Boeing-737-4B7/1368685/M/
Seems kind of wastful if they really are going to repaint the planes two months after they get a fresh coat.

Again, this was my first initial impression.... or maybe it's because it seems to me that Mr. Obama could easily pass as an Egyptian. Either way, the more I examine the photo, the more the differences come out. Does anybody else identify with the initial resemblance to EgyptAir?

Just my view:

From a marketing standpoint, a campaign livery/sticker/poster/button/shirt/pair of undershorts should underscore the colors of the country in question.

He's got white and blue covered... he needs a bit more red. First of all, red is bold, visible, and eye-catching. And second, it's listed as the first of the three colors of the U.S. On the other hand, too much red looks 1) gaudy and 2) Republican (I'm not saying Republicans are gaudy, but Red=Republican, Blue=Democrat). There's a balance to strike.

There's a band of lighter blue just forward of the dark blue for the tail section. That same lighter blue is on the forward section of the engines. That blue should have been red. It would look really smart.

Also, an American flag somewhere around the titles would probably be appropriate.

And for all those who need the American flag and red, white, and blue to feel all warm and fuzzy about a presidential candidate, in contrast, from what I can see of Mccain's new a/c, he is missing the red and the flag........Barack's is far more patriotic looking than Mccain's.

they could have matched the blues from his campaign to the engine nacelles and lower tail parts....
