According to Vietnam airlines.com:
"From August 12th, 2008, Vietnam Airlines will commence the new route Ha noi – Nagoya with 03 flights weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday utilizing Airbus 321 modern aircrafts. Nagoya is the capital of Chubu, the 3rd biggest economic area of Japan. Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the only carrier operating direct flights between Hanoi and Nagoya. In addition to the current destinations namely Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka, this is Vietnam Airlines’ fourth destinations in Japan. "
So weekly service between Vietnam and Japan from august.
