I heard from someone that has recently been to the Boeing Factory thought they saw another WN aircraft being painted in the special Shamu livery. I was wondering if there is another airplane that is going to be painted in that marvelous livery. Is Southwest being delivered another Shamu plane? If they are then another beautiful paint scheme would be painted on another plane!

There are 3 Sea Worlds and 3 real Shamus, so 3 flying Shamus on WN makes sense to me.

Or else WN is maybe retiring one of the current Shamus? (Although I doubt it.)

Welcome to A.net, DL752! (And please keep us posted on Sham III.)

If so, I would guess N334SW is going back to the standard Canyon Blue

Doin' just fine thanks...

Well, for awhile, there are already three Shamus, 733 (N334SW), 73G (N713SW), and 73G (N715SW). I guess if there is another new Shamu coming out, the aircraft that would make sense to repaint is the 733. I've flown on that twice before, and would hate to see it no longer Shamu.

733 (N334SW), 73G (N713SW), and 73G (N715SW).

Too bad the -500s are gone. When did 501 and 507 get repainted ?

My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.

Yes, all -5- of them. Still waiting on a photo, Cam...  Wink

N501SW and N507SW were both repainted in Canyon Blue within a few months of the Salmon roll-out...

Did your friend say it was a -700 or a -300? I saw some pictures on flickr and ships 926-927 are in the new colors if it is indeed a new plane maybe it will be 928 or 929?

Or maybe perhaps Shamu 334 is finally getting some fresh paint! but don't they do that in Roswell?

I flew on a Southwest Shamu plane from Oakland to Burbank in June of 2001.
The registration number escapes me.

Back then, it would have been either N334SW (a -300), or N501SW or N507SW (-500s).
