Royal is fantastic!!!
My Girlfiend and I went YYZ - LAS - YYZ April 16, 2000. The Flight left on time, and it was a 4:00pm flight, which usually means it was coming from somewhere!!! A bad combination for Canadian Charters. We arrived on time and was a full service flight. We got anything we wanted, including unlimited alcohol!!! Not that I drank much but it was available. The Aircraft arrived on time April 20, 2000. We got home and it was perfect. I think that Royal is as good or better than Air Canada.
My friends went the same route the next week (long story) on Sky Service, they said it was great.
I think that the biggest problem is when the aircraft is not on time. That causes headaches, other than that, I think people don't mind the little thing. People think that they are getting ripped off. I felt that way on two of my Air Transat trips to LAS and back.
Anything else that I can help you with, I know and employee of royal, as well, Slawko is bound to comment on this posting.....just wait you'll see!!!!

I have heard nothing bad about Skyservice, and Royal airlines. Now that the Royal has been taken over by Canada 3000 it will be nice to see what they are going to do with the service aspect of the airline. I hear that Canada 3000 service was nothing near the service on Royal. So hopefully they don't downgrade it.
Air transat I have heard mixed on this airline. From Extremely good to Extremely bad. I have never flown Air transat but I don't think that the service can be that bad. just that some passengers can be really really picky.
I as of now work for Sky Service. I hear that the service is really really good. I don't want to sound biased for the reason that I work with them, but I have also never flown with them. But they say that they are then number one requested charter airline in Canada. that is what it says in the website.

Canada 3000's serivce is very good...in fact the service is very little different from Air Canada except for a few things:
-Younger f/a's
-Newer fleet
-Similar or slightly less legroom
-Airshow (AC didn't have it on my flights)
-Pay for headsets
They are truly the class act among charter airlines.

I work for Skyservice, what can I say, I think we are the best, but hey that's just my opinion. The problem is that every airline has had little glitches at one time or another and if a person happens to experience a delay etc, then they walk away thinking that the airline is horrible, ruined their vacation, or their life. You would be surprised what some passengers demand - and we can't always meet up to our expectations for excellence, but I don't think that airlines do things to purposely make peoples lives miserable, even though from a passengers point of view it may seem that way. Delays due to weather, technical interference, ATC, are not the fault of the airline, but some passengers will freak out even if a flight is delayed during a blizzard. Then when the pax get on board it is the "flight attendants turn to pay". Skyservice has great crew members and I can honestly say that we are committed to providing customer satisfaction on all our flights.
Cheers!

Having worked with Skyservice for the last three months I can say the Cabin Crews on-board SSV flights will do anything possible to ensure the best possible flight for all pax on board. A few weeks a go there were three weddings and a birthday on board a flight to CUN from YQT. I mentioned it to the CSM and she and the entire crew made a special announcement and actually sang happy birthday! It's amazing what a personal touch will do to make a flight so much more enjoyable for all those on board. Just last week I received a thank-you letter from one of the wedding couples saying that they would never have expected such personalized service on a charter with 175 pax, and that they could not have had a better way to start off their wedding vacation. In comparison a request to a different charter carrier (QN) was made last winter, no special attention was made. They always say it is the small things that count and Skyservice pays attention to the small, in fact all details.

I have flown on Canada 3000, Royal and Air Transat and they are all very good airlines. I really like Royal because they really treat you well and in flight service is super. I flew with Royal to Port Of Spain Trinidad in 1995 when they had their 727-200's. I also like Canada 3000 very much because their service is great. I flew with them in 1996 to Fort. Lauderdale with the A320, Summer of 1999 with the A330-200 to Port Of Spain Trinidad and Christmas of 99/00 with their 757-200. They have the best A330's. There soo quiet. I also flew with Air Transat to Fort. Lauderdale in summer of 98 on their 757-200. There good to. I am going to be flying with Air Transat next month to Fort. Lauderdale again on their New additions to the fleet. the airbus A310-300.

I feel that Airlines in Canada exceed all other countries. The level of service as a whole can go up against the best with the US and other countries. All of our airlines, including Canjet are successful. All of our airlines have a place in the market, they cover all aspects including, low cost, medium cost and Air Canada (high cost). It works and ALL Canadian Air Carriers sould be commended. I personally don't think much of TS but thats only my personal opionion. But again as a whole, Canadian air carriers are comparable to the best of what ever the U.S. or the Brits can send us. As well, Canadian aircariers provide a safe and friendly mode of transportation. With YYZ (my hometown) being a hub and very accessable from most other airports, it provides Canada with endless travel options. I am glad that I live in Canada and have these airlines to congradulate!!
