LH A300 FRA LHR FRA

Does LH still fly the A300 FRA LHR FRA. I was looking at expertflyer and it seems they are only flying the A321 on that sector these days??


Aircraft flown:F27,Viscount. EMB120, SAAB340, ATR70, 737-200.737-300,DC8, DC10,747-100,747-200,747-300,747-400, A320, A3

It appears you may be right.

The last time I know the AB6 operated the route was 9th July with D-AIAZ

BA still sends a 767.

It's down to a couple of flights a month for a while now, occasionally a few flights a week. But it's been quite a while since the route saw daily (not to mention multiple daily) A300 flights.

In the summer period a lot of A300 are tasked to fly the south eurpoean routes due a large demand.
ATH is a prime example of this. Also LIS, FCO, BCN and other airports see them.

Also LH are slowly but surely phasing out the A300  Sad
I hope that LHR wil still see some more A300 in the winter period.

I'm flying FRA to LHR on the 24th August and it's scheduled to be an A300. I hope there's not an equipment change because I paid double to fly later in the day and get a chance to fly on the A300 !!

Last year I had always an A300 when going back to London from Frankfurt on a Sunday afternoon! Always a nice flight and such a roomy feeling!

Equipment change on the A300-600... last year I was flying FRA-MAD and they swapped the A300-600 for a A340-300 - very nice!

Last time I flew that route was in April/May this year, and it was on a freshly refurbished A300. Looked like brandnew inside, but it was 18 years old. I guess that the FRA-LHR route will be one of the last the LH A300 would disappear from. I´ve flown that route about twice a year at average for the past 15 years, and it was almost always a A300. (Sometimes I fly via London-City, but thats mostly a tiny Dash-8)
