I need help with flight 5634 IAH-MGM. Apparently the crew for this station has clocked out for the night. Long story short, everyone's baggage is still in the aircraft, and there's no one to unload it. Any practical advice?

Call CO's passenger services line and talk to them directly. Make sure you speak to a US-based representative though.

I'm tired of the A vs. B sniping. Neither make planes that shed wings randomly!

Your best bet is probably CO customer care -- 1-800-WE-CARE2
If that doesn't work try CO reservations at 1-800-523-FARE, say "Agent", "Domestic" or press 0.

One of the best things about CO... Everyone who answers the phone for CO works for CO. As far as I know all of their res centers are in the US, but there have been a few times where I've gotten women with beautiful British accents.

Although, someone had to be at the airport, right? I mean your captain/aircraft didn't just magically taxi up to the gate and pull the jetway up by telekenesis, did it? Oh... 5xxx sounds like a codeshare/express flight number, not mainline CO... but I still find it exceptionally hard to beleive that there were no airline employees on the property when your flight came in, on break perhaps, but competely gone-- seems very odd.

Update.
Not too long after I started the thread our luggage was unloaded. It only took a couple of hours, but better late than never I guess.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah there were lots of other pax calling customer care, so in lieu of calling I thought I would post here.

Kind of a weird question, but if all the rampers were gone, how was your aircraft marshalled into the gate?

Scotty doesn't know...

What date was this??? Your statement seems very skeptical. Like others have said, someone had to marshall in the plane, let you off the plane, pull the stairs or jetbridge up, etc. etc.

okay, I'm waiting for the rich to spread the wealth around to me. Please mail your checks to my house.

Quit checking luggage or getting on RJ's with bags to large for the overheads!  Smile

I don't know why my statement is so skeptical. Bad customer service from an american airline, Shocking!

This was last night. As far as I could tell nobody marshalled the aircraft. There wasn't even anybody to bring out stairs, so we could deplane. We waited a while and then someone from the airport finally brought a step ladder. A police officer then escorted us from the tarmac to inside the airport. Kind of boot-leg, but it didn't bother me.
What did bother me, was that we waited for a couple of hours for our luggage. Like I said better late than never, but all in all very unprofessional IMO.

Continental contracts out operations at MGM to Pinnacle Airlines. It sounds like they dropped the ball last night, not Continental.

Were you severely delayed? It is possible the station was not aware you were comming in. Perhaps they though your flight was cancelled?

Nope. We were late in arriving. But I think it was only 15min or so.

Quoting IAirAllie (Reply 13):

I doubt it.

I think MGM is one of the CO stations to get axed in Sept, so in the future I couldn't give CO my business on IAH-MGM even if I wanted to. But in any event next time I'll just fly DL via ATL.
