I have booked a trip to CUN from MAN on 14th Dec and return 24th Dec from CUN. When I made the booking I wanted to fly First Choice as the cabin config was better than Thomsonfly.
Looking at my booking now I find the flight is operated by Thomsonfly and so originally I was very disappointed. However I find the flight number is ToM.... and the next day the flight number from MAN to CUN is TOM. Further investigation reveals that First Choice flights have FCA numbers on the First Choice website but ToM flight numbers on the holiday booking screens. However the Thomson flights seem to have TOM. So is this a code to the staff showing the actual style of aircraft operating? I do hope so as I was looking forward to Star service.
Little o means Bigger seats?

As far as i am aware the Sunday and Wednesday MAN - CUN flights will be oeprated by First Choice Airways configured aircraft although the flight numbers will be under the TOM code as the beginning of the winter season is supposed to be the official start for the integration of the two airlines.
Also there is a planned reduction of actual TOM longhaul configured aircraft planned for next summer with up to 5 763 aircraft being converted back in to their 328Y short haul configs.
This is planned to take place sometime during the winter months. Whether or not this happens yet i am unsure but there does look like a reduction of at least 2 - 3 aircraft needed on longhaul ops next year at the moment from what i can see compared to this years.

Thanks and I also suspected the reduction. The area that I am interested in BHX is not looking very good for Long Haul.. I was just curious about the BIG and little O . I think it does seem to indicate a FCA style aircraft.
