Saw a BA 757 at the International Terminal (E) at Logan on Sunday....does anyone have any idea why it might have been there? BA (I think) only flies 747s from Logan currently.

Note: "currently" = summer timetable through Oct 25. All big birds.

Hello to all,
Yep it was the OPEN SKIES 757 flying ORY-JFK ... diverted to BOS due to weather ... refueled and sat on the taxiways/runways all afternoon before finally cancelling.
Other diversions that afternoon included another LH A340-600 / Austrian 767-300 / Aer Lingus A330-300 / American 767-300

With all due respect to BA, that is incorrect. I was just at Castle Island spotting and I saw a BA 772 fly just over my head. So I can tell you with 200% certainty that BA operates 772s to BOS.

I'll vouch for airbazar, BA operates the 744 on the first departure BA212 and the 772 on the second departure BA214.
The 777 has always operated the late evening arrival -> overnight -> morning deparutre BA238/239.

I stand completely corrected. I had always thought that at least one flight was a 777 but when I went to look for that 757 and saw all 747s for the summer months I figured there was a change. Pretty amusing that their timetable is incorrect.

Quoting Davehammer (Reply 8): Yes that timetable is completely wrong. It's got LGW long hauls as having 747's which isn't true at all.

Now I am not doubting anybody but this does not tally with the BA Timetable I have downloaded on my computer. For Heathrow to Boston it reads (somewhat simplified):
"LHR Term 4 1105 BOS Term E 1310 BA213 747
"LHR Term 4 1615 BOS Term E 1825 BA215 777
"LHR Term 4 1935 BOS Term E 2150 BA239 777"
And I can find no 747 flights from LGW.
BUT I have not updated the timetable for some weeks. So my purpose in making this post is to ask that since my current version seems to be correct, should I avoid updating it and risk introducing corrupt data?
