If one sends a compliment to AA flight crew via a Customer Relations on-line email - does that feedback or any kudos to the crew get passed on specifically from that email?

We just returned from a Hawaii vacation and had exceptionally professional, gracious and fun service both out-bound on flight # 5 DFW-HNL and in-bound #72 HNL-ORD. So, lucky - Pursers and FA's working the FC/J cabin really made the trip a joy. The service was incredible. Best I have ever had on AA. So much, it prompted an email about it to AA CR -- sighting the specific flights and specifically naming some crew that I could remember.

I immediately got back an email response from AA CR thanking me for my compliments, but it was of course a stock reply I am sure based on the criteria of "Praise/compliment" and "flight crew" categories I had to identify before sending it. Please, appreciate the response, but I would like to think the specific crews will get the feedback also, some kudo's from the company.

Maui -

I can't speak for flight crews - but I know that I get a copy of every compliment/complaint from aa.com to be passed on to my ground employees. I would imagine that the same thing happens with flight crews.

Thanks for flying AA!

Yes.

When it is processed by Customer Relations in Fort Worth, it is then forwarded on to the flight attendant's Flight Supervisor - i.e., their boss, and then to them. It also generally gets put in their personnel file.

They are supposed to hear about it and to my knowledge do. Thanks for taking the time to write such a letter. These positive letters are huge moral boosters and are always treasured.

You are most welcome. . . we did luck out with outstanding people this time. . . I have only written a letter once before, years ago about a TWA crew that was fab. I don't mean to seem jaded, but we were so surprised to get crews who seemed to be having so much fun on both outbound and return. With all the problems now in the industry it was wonderful to see what appeared to be good morale and folks who love their job. Again, started and ended our vacation on a very fun and positive note.  Smile

Very true, as an AA frequent flyer I have noticed that there are some flight attendants that truly make AA shine. I was on the MIA-POS-MIA flight once in J class; and the Purser came up to me before we departed and introduced herself and thanked me for being EXP and loyal to AA. Also she stated that since I was the only revenue passenger in J, she insisted on preparing my meal first. I was very impressed by this FA that I wrote AA customer relations a letter about her fantastic work ethic.
Also, the SCL crews work very hard and always thank me for the business that I give AA. They are truly remarkable and I've written AA several letters to inform them of their impeccable service. I had some of these same crew members on another flight and they all thanked me for the letter, as it was placed in their permanent files.

It's so nice to see some positive comments about airlines and flight crews.
It mostly is grumbling comments and complaints.
Mauiman31, I applaud you, and thank you for passing on your positive experience.
The crew will be notified, and will appreciate your kind words. I am sure it will be an incentive to keep up the good work, if their good work is being reported.
Occationally, we see some of these letters posted on our station website for all to see.

Regards,

Jetdoctor
