I have heard from several people that VA is going to be pulling the inflight entertainment system out of their planes. They apparently want to save some weight and the system is not reliable. Has anyone else heard this?

My guess is that if there is any truth to the rumor, it is that it's the Satellite TV part that will be pulled, as it's proven unreliable (either due to VX incompetence or bad hardware, because as a longtime Dish Network customer i can attest that it is quite reliable when installed correctly).

This would save weight, and they could upgrade the AVOD system to offer more TV/Movie options without adding weight back.

Of all the things to worry about... the Wookie has no pants.
