Hey LAX', is at least one SAN-CVG still showing on the books? (Last time I checked, the count had gone from 2 to 1x daily from Lindbergh in Sept... I'm preparing a review of SAN's shambles of a fall/winter schedule!) Thanks in advance.

Not terribly surprised to hear about the ABQ service being cut as CVG continues its disintegration.

Darn, I knew this would happen sooner or later. Hopefully ATL-ABQ doesn't get cut.

ATL-ABQ isn't going anywhere.

That really sucks. I remember when DL used to fly this route twice daily with a B738 and a B752. Now, there's nothing.  Angry

The reason New Mexico is so windy is because Texas sucks and Arizona blows.

The SD Union Tribune did a review of the fall schedule for Lindbergh which showed about a 7-8% drop in flights.

The number of flights are not declining much at Lindbergh for two reasons. One is that 30-35% of the flights are Southwest which, so far, is not reducing service. The second is that SAN has very few regional jet/commuter flights (mostly to LAX and SJC) which seem to be particularly vulnerable.

Because our airport has space restrictions and too few gates, the airlines have never gone overboard in adding flights anyway, so there is less fat to cut back on. Airfares have always been higher out of San Diego than out of LAX.
