I flew on AA in 1993 from Dallas to Honolulu. I was very very young at the time, the only thing I remember is that is was a twin aisle. What aircraft was I probably on? What did they fly on this route back then?

wow...I've flown on a DC10 before...awesome. I always thought is was a 767-300, but what do I know, I was like 6 at the time.

Yeah, I would have guessed they switched to 767 sooner than they apparently did-- DFW-HNL was still a DC-10 in 2000.

The DC-10s were flying to HNL until the end. AA didn't start flying the 767 to HNL until around 1999.

I remember in 87-88 or so IAH-DFW had DC-10 service using one of the HNL aircraft -- don't remember if it was a continuing flight or just utilizing the aircraft. But at that time, it was still First and Coach with the First Class compartment only having two rows of 2x2x2 instead of the larger cabin configuration later. I also recall some UK-US flights back about that time that also had the two-row FC cabin. That configuration didn't seem to last long.
