EADS has reported strong Airbus financial performance in the first half of 2008.

Airbus reported €712m EBIT on sales of €13.6b. These numbers included A380 penalty costs of €715 for the recently announced delivery rescheduling. Without the additional A380 costs, Airbus profit margin would have been in excess of 10%


EADS has also announced that the sale of the Airbus Laupheim site to Diehl/Thales has been concluded.
